"Is there different strengths available in moving boxes, and does it make a difference?"

Corrugated boxes come in all shapes, strengths and sizes - it naturally follows that the stronger the box, the greater the protection for its contents. The moving industry is very competitive, but only top quality movers use moving boxes that are at least 32 ECT (or 200 lb test) in strength. These ratings are common standards from the box manufacturing industry, and the help insure that your belongings will arrive safely. Boxes that do not meet this standard will crush under load. No reputable moving, truck rental or self storage company should sell a moving box weaker than 32 ECT (200 lb test). However, there are some retailers that sell sell much weaker (by 46%) 150 lb test boxes and calling them moving boxes. BUYERS BEWARE! The strength of weaker boxes are actually designed for light weight usage and should not be used for moving.

"Where can I find my moving box's strength rating?"

All moving boxes have a certificate seal that is printed on the bottom flap its manufacturer, certifying the moving box's strength. Industry standard Moving Boxes are 200 lb test weight or 32 ECT. Larger boxes like Wardrobes or kitchen dish pack boxes should have a higher test weight/strength standard printed. The certificate will also have information where you will find a capacity in weight that the box is designed to handle. Just because a box is large, doesn't mean it can carry a lot of weight. Make sure to check the box's actual certified strength before you make a purchase to make sure they are adequate for your needs.

"Why are your prices so low?"

We do not manufacture boxes, we are a box distributor. We purchase over a million boxes every year so we are able to get great prices from our suppliers. By focusing only on moving boxes for consumers such as yourself, we are able get great pricing on our large orders and we happily pass along the savings to our customers around the world.

"Does moving boz size make a difference when packing my belongings?"

If sure is - but only in the sense of manageability. Many moving companies sell large boxes for use by large men and their large moving machines. Based on customer demands, BoxBundles boxes are smaller and more manageable. The majority of our clients are self-movers, but either way, how you actually pack the box is as important as how large the box is. The most common cause of damage during a move is a box that is not fully packed. Empty space in a box creates trouble. See our packing tips for more details.

"Do you distribute your moving boxes straight for the manufacturer?"

Yes. All of our moving boxes are brand new, un-printed boxes direct from the biggest box manufacturers in the USA.

"Can I purchase used moving boxes from your company?"

We neither sell nor recommend their usage. Moving boxes do lose their strength over time, and are weak when reused. Over time, moisture in the air weakens the overall strength of used boxes. One of the biggest problems is the side of the box, where the seam is glued. Over time, this glue becomes unreliable. If you do use used boxes, you should inspect them carefully before packing. We DO NOT SELL USED BOXES for shipping - regulations for carriers like UPS and FedEx prohibit the use of used boxes.

"If you have different suppliers, does that mean that quality varies.

Yes, but in a positive way. All of boxes we purchase from our suppliers must meet our standards, which are higher than industry standards. - In fact our boxes test over the 200lb test industry standard. Our boxes are more than tough enough even for shipping!! Our Kitchen and Wardrobe boxes are double the strength.

"Is there catch on your free shipping policy?"

No, it is just an extension of our savings that we pass on to our customers. FedEx shipping is expensive, but we keep our costs low shipping from warehouses throughout the country. This makes your delivery time faster and your boxes arrive in better condition (not after days and 1000's of miles on a truck).

"Does your product selection have what I need?"
